Living Well With Pain

Pain cafe’s are a peer led support group, designed empower patients to better manage their chronic pain conditions. The service is tailored to the groups’ needs and aims to:

· Encourage a “skills, not pills” approach through peer support, helping people develop practical self-management strategies.

· Reduce social isolation and strengthen support networks.

· Provide access to information, guidance, support, and signposting to relevant local services and community resources. This includes presentations and workshops from guest speakers.

Pain cafés are a service for:

· Older adults living with long-term chronic pain.

· Working-age adults who are off work because of persistent pain or are returning to work while managing a long-term pain condition.

· Adults seeking additional support to complement their existing pain management plan.

Please note: Pain Cafés are not suitable for people with complex mental health needs.

Pain cafe’s take place once a month in a community setting.
